From Ronald Aalders:
"Hi All, another interesting Glushu case for you.
This horse came to us with an abscess that took too long to heel when treated at home.
The horse was send in to Tierklinik Lüsche in Germany. I was asked to assist.
Diagnosis was coffin bone rotated towards medial side crushing blood vessels, stopping blood flow. P3 penetrated through the medial sole. Necrosis as a result.
I resected the medial wall in attempt to restore blood flow. But without a medial wall nailing or screwing is impossible.
A cuff type shoe like GLUSHU was an option. I added a aluminium heart bar plate supporting frog and riveted that to the GLUSHU.
I removed 70% of the medial cuff and glued the remainder to the medial heels. Lateral side I could glue completely. Supported Enhancer with PU GLUE-U Shufill shore 30.
This horse remains a patient of TK Lüsche in Germany who I have been working with for some time now, their expertise and GLUSHU literally have saved the life of this horse.
